In Elena von Kraskowski’s works, we meet a way of painting that moves within a concretely abstract and minimalistic tradition. A way of painting about the essence of the method itself, a methodical search and research of the relation between the coloristic effects of colors, as well as their materiality and characteristics. Painting as a performative act, where the painting only represents a course of overpainting, overlapping, and correcting. A process that produces picturesque contents between the methodically organized and the intuitive questioning, between the repetitive and the reducing.
